Let me go, I need to find myself

That’s the translated title of  Brazilian singer Cartola’s song Preciso Me encontrar ( I need to find myself).

Letting go of someone you love, letting go of familiarity, letting go of your comfort zone  to go find yourself is letting go of fear.  And while tears may flow to fill a river you went to see there is no mountain high  or ocean wide enough to equate the immensity of finding who you are, what you want, what your purpose is, and who is worth your love.  The person who can let you go and not lose you- this is the person who knows your worth and is  worth your love.

Deixe-me ir / Let me go
Preciso andar/ I need to wonder
Vou por aí a procurar/ Going of there to find
Rir pra não chorar/  Laugh to not cry
Deixe-me ir / Let me go
Preciso andar/ Need to wonder
Vou por aí a procurar/  I go over there to find
Sorrir pra não chorar/ Smile to not cry
Quero assistir ao sol nascer / I want to watch the sun rise
Ver as águas dos rios correr/ Watch the water of the river run
Ouvir os pássaros cantar/ Listen to the birds sing
Eu quero nascer/  I want to be born
Quero viver/ I want to live
Deixe-me ir/ I want to go
Preciso andar/ I need to wonder
Vou por aí a procurar/ I go over there to find
Rir pra não chorar/ Laugh to not cry
Se alguém por mim perguntar/ If someone asks for me
Diga que eu só vou voltar/ Tell them I’ll be back
Depois que me encontrar/ Afer I find myself
Quero assistir ao sol nascer/ I want to watch the sun rise
Ver as águas dos rios correr/ Watch the water of the river run
Ouvir os pássaros cantar/ Listen to the birds sing
Eu quero nascer/ I want to be born
Quero viver/ I want to live
Deixe-me ir/ Let me go
